What do I do exactly?
Dewith is one of many nicknames giving to me throughout my life. My music ranges from soft, precise acoustic fingerpicking to psychedelic, abstract rock. I write, record, and produce all my music; it takes me a while to release due to life but I'm working on releasing more music more often.
I learned how to play guitar by ear; my push to learn was mainly influenced by the song "Rush" by the Japanese band The Pillows. I spent some time after high school recording through a laptop mic some ideas and kind of drifted off when I started working on an oil field. When I moved to Florida to pursue a college degree, I dove into recording heavily and backed that passion with money I had saved up. I decided about a year ago that I would leave college and head back to where I consider home, Alaska, to pursue music.
Currently, I am work on two small albums. "Far North" is an album about Alaska; the other, "Crush" is more about my typical subjects I write about. I recently got a new amp that allows me to record through my interface and be heard through the heads phones; THIS HELPS A GREAT DEAL. I'm now able to record at all hours of the day.
